Paula A. Scandrol, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has been in practice with Alliance Psychological Services since 2008. She also has eight years of work experience in community mental health. Paula obtained her bachelor of arts from Mount Union College in 2002, and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004.
Paula provides services for individuals (age 6 through adult), couples and families. Human beings are so complex, and Paula finds there is no one approach that fits all. She strives to understand the unique needs of each client, and to personalize their treatment to those needs. Her therapeutic work draws on techniques from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and dialectical behavioral therapy, and from motivational interviewing, wellness, and plain common sense. She is direct, compassionate, and engaging with her clients.
In her free time Paula enjoys spending time with her family and friends. You will find her in and around Pittsburgh going to a Pirates game, walking thru the parks, and sometimes rowing on the rivers.
