Michelene is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Science in Counseling from Duquesne University. Having worked across the community with individuals, children, and families, her professional experience includes child and adolescent counseling, couples and family counseling, crisis counseling, and providing support to children and families living in stressful situations. She is also experienced with helping clients manage trauma, grief and loss, relationship problems, anxiety, and depression.

Michelene works from a person centered and systemic perspective, acknowledging the impact that the world around us has on our unique lived experience. Navigating changes in life can be daunting; her goal is to walk beside clients in their journey at their own pace without judgement. Michelene loves to incorporate fun into session, using games and activities to foster connection between families and individuals. She uses modalities such as emotion focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, systemic therapy, and narrative therapy to aid clients in a warm, authentic environment.

With her holistic approach, Michelene believes that emphasizing all forms of wellness is essential in living authentically. Having a healthy mind, body, spirit, and relationships are the key to wellbeing. She is open to working with people of all ages and stages in life achieve holistic wellness in their own way.

In her spare time, Michelene enjoys reading, playing video games, spending time in nature, and playing with her cats!
